Welcome to Davis, CA!

Folks, it's time again to hit the road and take off. West, further west, beyond the hills and plains to the land beyond the mountains: The Golden State, California.


Or, more precisely, Davis. Home to some 60-odd-000 people, half of them students and twice as many bikes. And probably the largest Toyota Prius fleet this side of the mighty Pacific. It's a quick 20min drive to Sacramento, smack in the middle of the fertile central valley. Flat like a pancake, perfect for non-motorized personal transport on two wheels.


I will be working at the University of California, Davis as a Research Scholar for a few months and will use this blog to share some photos and the occasional thought.
